I'm not sure alive is the right word. Wonderfully eerie, I call it! I love the hint of blue in the necklace echoing the blue in his eyes. Knits the image together very nicely.

This is a great photo, well done with your camera. My brother has a Nikon, too, and he always looks down on me because I bought a Canon for first-time users. ^^°

there's so much hate between nikon/canon users... I don't think you can go wrong either way.
Each camera has strengths and weaknesses. I chose nikon simply because it's what I first played with. My brother had a nikon d50 and I fiddled around with his camera a lot before getting my own... just made sense to get a nikon XD
I'm pretty much religiously nikon now, and when I play around with canon cameras I tend to shoot crappy photos, but I can't blame it on canon. I'm just conditioned to nikon xD

Thank you. ^_^ I read a book about the functions of my camera at the moment to get to know it better. On the other hand my brother is always like "I can't believe you took good pictures with this tiny Dimage Xg for years and on so many vacations!!! O_O" [link] It has not even this... component part that moves out of the camera body when zooming. x'D
